Did I tell you there was a kid at my school named Anakin Skywalker Duchineaux??? I’m not kidding. I was cleaning up the homeroom files and I about fell out of my chair. By the time this kid is 12 he’s going to be “anakin douchebag.”

I like the Ewok name for the piggie.

Okay, in response to Darah’s suggestion, how about Reveille? And, btw, we have TWO shepherd mixes but only one has a gimpy foot (an entirely blog post on its own). The girls named them Serafina & Genevieve…those parents out there with little girls know exactly where those names came from…too bad “Caribou Barbie” hadn’t come out yet, we probably would’ve had a dog named Cari rather than Gena or Sera!

As I recall, we were going to call him Taco, until I JOKINGLY suggested Moose!! Oh, well. The name actually fit better than Taco!

Okay, I had a college roommate that named our new chiahuahua “moose”. So go with something totally off the wall for the pig name. Perhaps “moose”.

Oh, Darah! That’s a great one! I’ll pass it along and see if it boots “Chirpa”. I don’t know, they’re both great. The good thing about guinea pigs, you can pretty much change their name anytime you want. We’re learning she doesn’t respond to any name in particular, she responds to hay!!

Mara Lee, you are a winner! I told J.T. about your Ewok name suggestions and he really liked “Chirpa”. So, after calling her Padme for a week, her new name is Chirpa. Now I have to go change her Rodentbook page (on Facebook).

I love “Pickles” ! I love the way Guinea Pigs move, I’d call her “waddles” or something like that. And it’s awsome that JT is so into Star Wars. I think Guinea Pigs look most like Ewoks- how about some Ewok names like “Chirpa” or “Romba”??
