It’s probably a good thing I am not compensated for this blog or I would have been canned months ago. To quickly catch you up, the past few months have been a tad busy, filled with science fair activity, spring break, a stomach bug and various minor (but always a big deal to J.T.) holidays… All the while I’ve kept notes and will catch up anyone who is mildly interested soon.
Meanwhile, I’m mulling over some topics like talking about the economy with your kiddo, why they took “stranger” out of ‘Stranger Danger’, and friendships for kids and moms too and just for fun… imaginary friends! If you’ve got a suggestion or story on any of these I hope you feel compelled to submit a comment. But no pressure.
I’ll be back on soon, gotta go figure out how to clip a guinea pig’s toe nails. She’s starting to look like those creepy pics from the Guinness Book of World Records.
Eryn - Nice to have you almost back. looking forward to readingabout your latest escapades!
Everyone is always interested in ideas for keeping kids entertained during the summer!
Hey! A little imaginary friend factoid for you… Big sis started off with a pretend friend names Sarah. Then, along came Alex. After a while, big sis was no longer talking about them…but little sis was. So, it appeared that little sis had “stolen” big sis’ pretend friends. The other day big sis said, “Let’s play baseball…and my Sarah and Alex, and her Sarah and Alex can play, too.” So, apparently, they both just happen to have identical imaginary friends. Go figure!
PS…There are clippers specifically for the guinea nails. You’re right. They get rather gross.
